Well, I got rejected again. That means I have five outstanding submissions (I sent out something in the last few days) And again, I asked for feedback.
Thank you for reviewing my work. I understand that you have hundreds of submissions (Duotrope has 495 in your market), and you really can’t provide individual critiques of each work. I am trying to hone my craft, and would really appreciate any feedback you can provide. If you cannot, I completely understand, but if you could give me some pointers, I would really appreciate it.

My biggest problem with “The Earth in Ferment” is that it reads more like a news article than a story. The POV character appears at the beginning and end, but he plays no part in the unfolding of events.
I’m four for four in requesting feedback. Amazing what a little politeness accomplishes. I had never thought of TEIF in those terms before – now I get a sense of why it keeps getting bounced. Time for rewrite!
